We believe in good old-fashioned hard work and creativity. We balance the cool with the commercial to inspire and delight every audience. we use insight, skill, experience and craft to make your world a better place.
Because good design isn’t a question of what things could be. It’s a question of what things should be. Whether you’re a global brand, a tired-out retail unit, or a workspace from hell, our multi-disciplinary team is on hand to find the best possible way to realise your vision.
NoChintz believes that good design should be accessible to everyone. Everywhere.

OUR HISTORY
Formed in march 2007, we have evolved from a team delivering contemporary furniture packs to property developers and a few private residential briefs to an interiors force to be reckoned with. Our team has become one of the UK’s leading creative interior design agencies with a portfolio of over 1000 projects completed for more than 250 clients.
Conscious of our rapid growth until that point, last year we took the company through a period of consolidation to ensure that we were able to achieve further growth through effective foundations.
Sustainable growth has been a key priority for NoChintz, so we concentrated during this time on maturing our operations and processes, resulting in the award of ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations. We also gained the Gold standard investors in People award as well as receiving its health and wellbeing award.
This allowed us in the last financial year to implement our ambitious business plan which saw us expand our operation to 11 distinct service areas:
• Hotel design
• Retail design
• Exhibition and structures design
• Bar and restaurant design
• Event design
• Gymnasium design
• Office design
• Private home design
• Show home design
• Furniture Package design
• Branding & identity design
This gave us the perfect springboard for growth and in the financial year 2012 to 2013 saw us increase turnover by almost £1m to £1.55m, and we expect to turnover circa £2m for 2013/14. We have grown our core team to 16 full time staff and expect this to increase to a team of 20 by the end of 2013.
The numbers may well substantiate our claims but we are not a company driven only by profit; we are passionate about design and good quality products to our clients, regardless of their budget. We believe that design should be accessible and inclusive.

Client highlights of the past year include:

• Expanding our brief with luxury self-catering experts, Natural retreats, and winning our first work stateside with them. This is in addition to our focus in 2013 on delivering large projects for them in John o’Groats and the Yorkshire Dales.
THE ADD-ONS
Beyond our core client work, we are committed being an active member of our community. We continue to provide young designers with an opportunity to develop their talents and gain vital industry experience through placements.
We have worked hard to ensure that students are mentored and nurtured in their role, investing in their development through it training in CAD (computer aided design), presentation skills and design development. it is this continuous nurturing, communication and support of our placements that makes NoChintz work experience exceptional.
We are also dedicated to supporting sustainable design through our active support of British designers and local companies, this has been evident across our portfolio in 2013 where we used a high volume of British made products and materials. With our hotel client, Natural retreats for example, we specify only British designed and manufactured products throughout; at their John o’Groats development more than 500 square metres of Scottish made Anta fabric was used on the walls and 48 Anta cushions are dotted around the residences. A number of smaller UK brands were commissioned to produce bespoke designed pieces to make up the collection at
The Inn, the adjacent hotel building at the development. We also pride ourselves in working closely with smaller companies and emerging designers, offering them a platform on which to promote and sell their products and designs.
CONCLUSION
We believe that our achievements since 2007, especially those of the past year, illustrate how NoChintz is a thriving Northern interior design business. we are committed to maintaining sustainable growth whilst also contributing actively to the wider business community.
To be considered for the Northern design Award for best interior design Practice would be a fantastic endorsement of the business’ achievements to date.
