Bespoke Lampshade on Vintage Murano Base

Half way through our second year, we are loving the reaction we’ve had from customers, who are embracing our concept of recycling vintage furniture and creating unique pieces for their home. Upcycling old chairs and re-upholstering them in gorgeous fabrics is something that I’ve been passionate about ever since I took my very first upholstery class eleven years ago, and despite raised eyebrows from my fellow students, upholstered a Victorian chair in turquoise velvet. We are thrilled that people are sharing in our excitement and enthusiasm, and are veering away from mass-production towards well-made artisan goods.

Customers choose from our ‘Rough Diamonds’ (chairs that are inherently beautiful but old and tatty), select their perfect fabric and trimmings, and then our time-served craftsmen perform their magic. Their chair’s makeover results in their very own ‘Dressed To The Nines’, which hopefully takes pride of place at home for a long time to come.

The seating is complimented by a selection of other pieces of vintage furniture and lighting, all carefully selected for their unique beauty, and their ability to sit well in contemporary interiors. However, this is just one side of the business. The other side concentrates on interior design and furnishings. Customers can browse our extensive selection of fabric and wallpaper swatch books within a beautiful and inspiring showroom, get advice on creating their perfect schemes, and make use of our bespoke curtain making and upholstery services.

Our main aim is to make people feel comfortable and inspired when they spend time in the showroom, whether they’re wanting to purchase one roll of wallpaper or have their entire house designed. And if the welcoming committee (two furry dogs called Mabel and Tilly) aren’t your cup of tea, they can easily be enticed into the garden on request!
